William G. Hassel 59, died Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born in Evansville, Indiana; he was a resident of Marietta, Georgia and living in Savannah for the past six years. Mr. Hassel was a retired seafood specialist for Publix. He was employed with the Richmond Hill Publix prior to his retirement.

Surviving are; his wife, Jacquelyn M. Hassel of Savannah, two step-sons Michael and David Moon both in the military, his brothers, John Hassel Judy, Frank Hassel Betty, his sisters, Cheryl Koch Jim and Patti Leach Gary all of Evansville, Indiana, his mother-in-law, Mary W. Burgess of Savannah, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be private.
